MACA SERRANO

I’m Maca, a bilingual Mexican-American writer, filmmaker, and storyteller. I was shaped by the contradictions of growing up on the Texas/Mexico border — a no-man’s-land where cultures, religion, and history collide like tectonic plates. I write stories and content in English, Spanish & Spanglish, whether for the screen, the page, or the web. My work spans comedy to drama, often through a historical lens, always with a sharp, satirical edge. At its heart, my writing centers unwieldy women raising hell against structures that would domesticate them to claim lives that are fully and authentically theirs.
